The story of Crossroads Christian Church. Crossroads launched in September of 2007 through a partnership of Maple Lawn Christian Church and Ignite Church Planting.

As we continued to grow and reach new people for Christ, we realized there was a large part of the Joliet population we couldn’t reach because of a language barrier. So in order to reach the Spanish speaking population, we partnered with Westbrook Christian Church in Bolingbrook to launch a campus of Gente Unida in 2013.

As we continued to reach reach more people, it became clear we would need a larger facility. In 2017 we began converting an old Dominick’s grocery store into a place that would allow us to grow, but more importantly to continue to reach people for Christ. In 2018 we held our first services in the new location.

Then 2020 came, and just like most of the world, the ministry at Crossroads was shaken. We went online for a few months and figured out how to do ministry in an entirely new way, and have continued to adapt since then.

During the summer of 2021, after having a long running partnership with Westbrook Christian Church, we merged to now become one church organizationally, but three congregations functionally.
