Jesus often taught by telling parables — simple stories that sounded familiar, ordinary, and harmless… until the twist. Just when His audience thought they understood where the story was going, Jesus flipped expectations and revealed something radically different about God, His Kingdom, and what life with Him looks like. The Kingdom of Heaven rarely works the way we expect. It grows slowly, includes unlikely people, challenges what we value, exposes what we trust, and invites us into a new way of living. In these parables, Jesus doesn’t just teach information — He offers an invitation. The Kingdom isn’t just something we listen to. It’s something we enter. This summer, we’ll explore the parables of the Kingdom in Matthew 13 and Matthew 25 — and discover how the Kingdom turns ordinary lives, ordinary assumptions, and ordinary stories into something unexpected, redemptive, and new. Because when the Kingdom takes root, everything changes — including the ending.
